This 16 in. strand includes 100 round Andean black onyx beads, hand-cut, hand-drilled and polished by Peruvian crafts people.
Because they are hand-cut, there are variations in the sizes of the beads. They are roughly spherical, about 4 mm in diameter. The holes are small, 1 mm or less.
The colors are the natural colors of the stone and vary from one to the next. Some have pyrite inclusions, a feature common in Peruvian black onyx. The beads are waxed to help smooth and protect them but are untreated and otherwise unaltered.
