These 60 ceramic cube beads were hand-made by Peruvian crafts people and decorated using the serigraphic silkscreen method. There are four each of fifteen different punctuation marks and arithmetical symbols (ampersand, exclamation mark, question mark, parenthesis mark, semi-colon, asterisk or multiplication sign, slash or division sign, dash or minus sign, plus sign, equal sign, approximation sign, percent sign, pound sign, dollar sign, and at sign) in black on each of the four free sides. Because they are hand-made there are slight variations in the size of the beads, the sizes and positions of the holes, and the printing.
These beads are about 9 mm on a side, with 3 mm holes. The holes run horizontally in relation to the designs.
