Native Americans throughout the Amazon basin have long used the seeds and nuts of a variety of trees and plants make necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry. These white seeds are called "huaryaro blanco" (white huayruro). They resemble black huayruros and long red huayruros, with brown openings (hylems) one one side, but we do not know their scientific classification.
This one-ounce lot contains about 20-25 seeds. They vary in size, though generally they are about 18 x 10 x 8 mm. The holes are drilled horizontally, from one end to the other, and are small, about 1 mm in diameter.
