20 Peruvian 15 mm CERAMIC CLAY MARBLED BARREL BEADS, J47

These 20 high-quality ceramic tube beads were hand-made and hand-painted by expert Peruvian crafts people. The clay was shaped and fired, painted and glazed, then fired a second time for a true ceramic hardness. They were painted with special mineral-based pigments, not artificial dyes.
The painters describe themselves as artists, and with justification. The marbled design is a play of blues and pinks, suggesting winter. Because they are handmade, there are slight variations in the sizes of the beads and in the sizes and positions of the holes. In general they are about 15 mm tall and 11 mm in diameter, with 3 mm holes.
