1 oz. Peruvian PASHAQUILLA PLANT SEED BEADS Peru Amazon
Click photo for enlargement.
Native Americans throughout the Amazon basin have long used the seeds and nuts of a variety of trees and plants to make necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry. Pashaquilla (Leucaena leucocephala) seeds are flat brown seeds the size and shape of apple seeds. In Peru, they are commonly used in making bracelets.
Unlike our other beading seeds, pashaquilla seeds are too soft to be pre-drilled. Simply thread a needle through the seeds, if necessary allowing them to soak in boiling water for a few minutes ahead of time.
