This 16 in. strand includes about 40 gray-blue Peruvian angelite stone beads handcut in a round shape, drilled, and polished by Peruvian crafts people.

Because they are hand-carved, there are variations in the sizes of the beads and in the sizes and positions of the holes. They are roughly spherical, about 10-11 mm in diameter, with holes of 1 mm or less.

The colors are the natural colors of the stone and vary from one to the next. Some have some natural browning. They are coated with a clear lacquer that helps smooth them out and protect them but are untreated and otherwise unaltered.
