This 17 in. strand includes about 140 Andean pink onyx beads, hand-cut in a rondelle shape, hand-drilled and polished by Peruvian crafts people.

Because they are hand-cut, there are variations in the sizes of the beads and the sizes and positions of the holes. They are cut in graduated sizes from 6 to 8 mm in diameter and 2-4 mm thick. The holes are small, 1 mm or less in diameter.

The colors are the natural colors of the stone and vary from one to the next. The beads are waxed to help smooth and protect them and enhance their luster but are untreated and otherwise unaltered.
