This 16 in. strand includes 44 round Andean zebra onyx beads, hand-cut, hand-drilled and polished by Peruvian crafts people. Some have pyrite inclusions, a feature common in Peruvian black onyx.

Because they are handcut, there are variations in the sizes of the beads. They are roughly spherical, about 9 mm in diameter. The holes are small, 1 mm or less. The stone is not treated or otherwise altered. The finish is highly polished but uncoated.
