This 16 in. strand includes 16 Andean serpentine stone beads hand-cut in a rounded barrel shape and drilled by Peruvian crafts people. The beads are coated with a clear solution that helps to smooth and protect them and enhances their luster but are untreated and otherwise unaltered.

Because they are hand-cut, there are variations in the sizes of the beads and the sizes and positions of the holes. Most are about 22 mm long and 10-11 mm in diameter, with 1 mm holes.
