These ten ceramic tube beads were hand-made and hand-decorated in Pisac, Peru.
The beads were shaped then engraved with classic Andean geometric designs before the clay was fired, giving them an unusual textured appearance. After firing, they were hand-painted with special mineral-based pigments. They are a cranberry-red with gold ends and yellow and blue accents. They are not glazed but varnished.
Because they are handmade, there are slight variations in the sizes of the beads. In general they are about 20 mm tall and 8 mm in diameter, with 4 mm holes.
