This 16 in. strand includes 49 Andean alabaster rondelle beads hand-cut and drilled by Peruvian crafts people. The beads are coated with a clear solution that helps to smooth and protect them but are not treated or otherwise altered. Because they are hand-cut, there are variations in the sizes of the beads and the sizes and positions of the holes. They are about 10 mm in diameter and 4-5 thick, with 1 mm holes.
